What inspires us to create what we do?
”Making It Happen" involves the following:
Balance - to arrange, adjust, or proportion the parts of symmetrically. Composition or placement of elements of design, as figures, forms, or colors, in such a manner as to produce an aesthetically pleasing or harmoniously integrated whole. II "We like to always have a nice flow and balance in weight to my work. We don't like a piece that is too top, left, right or bottom heavy."
Color - the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light; saturation or chroma; hue. The use or effect of the pigments in an object or picture. II "Color is very important in the feel of the piece. It sets the mood. From pastels to darks, solids to process, color plays a role in the connection to how we interpret a piece to be. It brings life to a flat surface. The ability to see color is a blessing and beautiful gift. We have an eye for color when designing so we will apply that skill well."
Form - the shape of a thing or person. The organization, placement, or relationship of basic elements, as lines and colors in a painting or volumes and voids in a sculpture, so as to produce a coherent image; the formal structure of a work of art. II "The flow of the piece needs to make sense to us. We cannot have something hanging in the distance by itself. It can't be too scattered. It needs to tie together and have some form of unity."
Shape - to give definite form, shape, organization, or character to; fashion or form. II "We like using many different types of shapes and angles to create a work of art. We like the clean and organized approach and yet sometimes, it's ok to take different parts of an object and mesh it all together and make something unique."
Reason - a basis or cause as for some belief, action, fact, event, etc. A statement presented in justification or explanation of a belief or action. II "Just like there are laws, in my line of work there are rules and guidelines to how things are suppose to be designed. The techniques and methods are important to us. We don't have to be questioned why we did that, that way."
Detail - Particulars considered individually and in relation to a whole: careful attention to detail. II "We always say...It's always in the detail. This is one area we feel that we are strong about - our attention to detail. We do miss sometimes because WE ARE HUMAN. We will always put that extra time in to fix that one little part that wouldn't normally bug another designer but it does us. We won't rest and be comfortable until we fix it the way it needs to be. From editing pictures to laying out a brochure, if it's off by a hair - it will bother us and then we will have to drop everything or get up in the middle of the night and fix it. We don't like to deliver sloppy, half-way in the quality of our work."
Determination - the act of coming to a decision or of fixing or settling a purpose. Fixed direction or tendency toward some object or end. II "We always hit deadlines. We are not an 8-5, 9-5 team. Our hours are at odd hours of the day and night. We don't have a normal schedule because we are always determined to work hard and not only deliver an exceptional piece of work to the client but we always push myself to deliver our work earlier than client expectations. Our work and clients are important to us. We feel that if they have faith in us to hire us for the job, we should always deliver to our fullest potential. Anything less than a smile and "Excellent Job" or "I Love It!" from the client doesn't sit well with us. The thought of failing at something weI had the power to control at the beginning is unacceptable."
